Benefits of using a cane.

To avoid confusion, I am talking about the canes blind people use such as myself.
1. People avoid you at all costs. AKA "Parting the seas"
2. If you stand in one place long enough, people will approach and ask if you need help.
3. The ladies like it for some odd reason.
4. You receive added sympathy while in stores, people act more kind.
5. If you want to sit somewhere but someone else is sitting there, you can proceed to sit down anyways. They will move.
I realize this is not all of good morals, and I don't use most of these, but they have been helpful in the past. -
I understand some benefits

Blind.. On a silent, text based, visual game. Good for you.
I know a 65yr old blind mountain biker, who proceeds to do tricks and maneuvers I've never seen anyone do :P
He doesn't use a cane :/That's my relevance to this post. I tried to cane once, but I guess it's easy to tell when someone's faking :(
6. When a blind man holds his cane in a fencing pose, get the hell outta the way. He ain't bluffin

Speaking of which, there was an article in the paper the other day about how iPhones can help blind people. (Yes I still read the paper 😜)
