I found a penny :)
Forums › General Discussion › I found a penny :)-
I'm fixing up a 1981 volkswagen rabbit. Removed the seats, carpet, shift boot to clean and replace. Jammed under the plate that holds the shifter was a 1981 penny. I wonder if someone at the factory jammed it under there or if an early owner lost it and it just got stuck there. I'm gonna put it back when I reassemble. :)

Coincidence? I think not!
-
Nice.It would make you wonder about its history.Putting it back is good. :-)

Put a 2012 (or 2013) in as well to signify when you did the restoration 😉

Haha. 😉
It's good that you put it back. And the 2012 penny is a cool idea too.

I don't always find pennies, but when I do they're "an 1864 Flying eagle penny... And many older large cents... Like 1814 and stuff"
heh, guess he showed me.

Imagine what that penny is worth today!

I made my daughter sort through the coin bucket for a 2012 penny. She found a 1943 steel penny and thought she struck it rich. I had to tell her it's worth 16¢.

Haha BURN/FAIL.
Yeasterday i got a 1947 nickel and a 1965 dime as change at the same time. I dont usually look at dates, but the familiar sound of old money (yes it sounds different in the pocket) made me look. -
In 1981 that would get you a bj from a nasty hooker.
Challenge: go find a hooker from 1981 and see if you can still get the same deal.
-
Check 9th st in modesto ca. The toothless hookers are still in the 1980's
