You know how hundreds of years ago, people thought the world was flat? But today, we know that the world was round, and we talk about the people who thought the world was flat.
Well, today, we think that the universe is endless, and we still think that.
SO, what if hundreds of years from now, it's discovered that the universe actually has limits, and people hundreds of years from now will talk about US, and our beliefs that the universe was endless.

Who knows, maybe the Big Bang theory was wrong, and poeple hundreds of years from now will talk about our firm beliefs in that theory.

Who knows

Maybe aliens are real, and this is confirmed in the future, and people hundreds of years from now will talk about how many during this time period didn't believe in aliens. The possibilities go on and on and on.

It's all an illusion. Nothing really exists.

Star blazing visions of solitude,peace ,beauty which promise not death but foreverness in a myriad of glittering diamonds;an exalted magnificence,a higher order of streams and splatters; an awesome spectacle with our sun as an aching pit not to be tolerated.You speak of strange visions.Be ready for every conceivable contingency for in space nothing is impossible.A hint of obloquy,a glance of tartness smacks of ill advised witticisms.In short, accept every vicissitude placidly.

Millions and millions of billions of billions of millions of millions of stars in the universe. -

Any future people will look back and discuss several topics of our time. I'm not worried if they scrutinize or criticize our beliefs.

There are a few theories about the dimensions and shape if the universe, one says that there are outer bounds, another (apparently incorrect) theory is that the universe is like a rubber band, expanding after the big band, reaching its limits and then contracting back on itself. There is another very fascinating theory called the multiverse theory where this is one of an infinite number of other parallel universes where every action that could ever have happened did happen. That means hitler and the Germans won, and I got a an iced tea and coke for lunch today. The scary part is the multiverse theory holds up very well mathematically.

lots of interesting theories about the universe. couple if my recent favorites are that our existence is just a complex computer simulation created by a civilazation that might also be a sim. the other that what we percieve as reality is projected on the surface of the universe not actually the universe. maybe thats why we only percieve 4 dimensions instead of the 11, 12, 13 or however many there are supposed to be.

@semtex, Think of it this way;
Everybody believed the world was once flat because nobody had proved otherwise. Nobody had discovered yet that it was actually round. Everybody once believed the entire universe revolved around Earth because nobody had proved otherwise.
Well, we believe that the universe is endless, but what if we just haven't found anybody to reach the end of the universe and prove otherwise?
And I also think about the multiverse thing. There very well may be a massive number of universes in the world. One where Hitler won WWII. One where the British crushed the American Revolution and kept the 13 Colonies as their own. One where I'm typing this post on an iPhone instead of an iPad. There is a massive number of possibilities.
