Extremely sad. Right after welcoming home Korean War vets in my town I get this. Very very sad. That train driver is going to have a extremely hard life dealing with the pain, whether or not it was his or her fault.(I wouldn't be able to handle it) I hope everyone is ok and make a great recovery.

I read about this today, very sad news. Not sure how they didn't know a train was coming when they were organising the event.

I just read the obituaries from the accident. I was especially grieved to learn I served with one of the men killed for a brief time. He left an incredible impression.

It is always unfortunate to learn of the untimely death of someone you knew. In this instance, involving a man who devoted his life to our nation's service, to learn he died in such a freak tragic manner seems especially cruel. It's been at least 14 years since he and I last spoke, but it still grieves me to learn of his death.
