Omertà. Quick finds

One day, I was listening to Omertà by Lamb of God. Now at the beginning of the song it's starts out, "Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man, is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law, is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I die, you are forgiven. If I live, I will kill you.' Such is the rule of honor."
I thought about that for a second, and completely agreed! I still didn't know what the definition of omerta was, so I googled it. This is what I found:
Omerta is a popular cultural attitude and code of honour that places heavy importance on a deep-rooted "code of silence", non-cooperation with authorities, and non-interference in the illegal (and legal) actions of others. It originated in Southern Italy, and is still around today, due to Mafia actions in the area.
I thought it fit in quite well with the purpose it had been given in TW. -
Well, thank you all for reading my blurb on this. Hopefully you do your own research and find out some more for yourself. Until then, Happy Turfin.
