Those days of ruger are long over. The previous owner of ruger did not want to make "Assault rifles" or high cap mags. Hence why when you were looking for a 25rd mag for your ruger 10/22 you got stuck with the crappy clear hot lips mags. Ruger refused to make them. That previous owner died and when the next took over that all changed, also why you now see ruger made bx-25rd mags for the 10/22 and rugers line of AR15 rifles. -

👆👆👆👆. The guns themselves are not going to break. It is what feels best to you. A general rule: metal = heavy = reduced felt recoil. Polymer = lighter = easier to carry.Told you, metal vs. polymer is strictly personal choice. Buy which one feels most comfortable and balanced in your hand. Or, better yet, rent a few and buy the one you shoot best with.

Well, I have officially ruled out the Ruger sr9 and the sig saur tac tec. I put several hundred rounds through about 5 different glocks, still not a fan. So I guess it's down to our final three. The S&W m&p9, the Springfield XDM, or the beretta M9......I'm still gonna go look at the CZ but not sure if the full size will be too cumbersome...

If I were u I'd go with a Springfield xdm also. It's a great gun in my opinion just as good as glock. A 9mm has a 19 + 1 capacity. I have a xdm 45 which is a 13 +1 capacity. If u look online u can probably find them under $600

Excellent option, but doesn't fit his budget. But as great of a gun that is, I'm not convinced I'd rather have one over the m&p, especially considering the cost difference.H&K USP Compact

The USP is out of his price range once tax and DROS is factored in.
I wouldn't get the Beretta unless you go for a 92FS, which is similar to the CZ in build and weight.

Springfield XDM. Mine is in .40. I love it on every level. Great capacity, great ergonomics, as reliable as a glock but fits my hand better. Comm me if you have any specific questions.

I ccw a Walther p99 in.40 with the quick trigger. I do not like the feel or balance of a Glock, but some do. Go to a range and try a bunch out. Narrow it down to one or two. Wait until after May to buy one. After the election every one is buying one it should settle the price down by then.

The standard Springfield XD is a good choice and has one more safety than a glock. The XDM is also a good choice and the "M" in XDM is for the match grade barrel you get.
