Thanks for the turf JD. Took awhile to find a JD original 😂 but I found one....or two.

Being a top player in turf wars is tough especially if you are a solo player. It is almost impossible to be successful as an independent. It takes a special kind of player. Most will never attain that status.
They have to be rugged individualists. Players that have climbed Everest, not those that just bought the t-shirt CLAIMING they did. Players that can go out in the wild and survive like Bear Grylls but WITHOUT the 40 man safety team and the helicopter mounted camera crew.
JD Original Outdoor Gear is designed with that player in mind. It stands in tribute to their rugged individualism and their never say die attitude. When you see someone wearing JD, you know you are dealing with someone that isn't afraid to go where no one has gone before. Someone that breaks the mold and does things out of the ordinary. Someone with integrity that you can respect.
-
I'd like to point out that das hyena started wearing JD before anyone else. The man is a trend setter. Please don't poke fun at him for buying the t-shirt. If JD Gear was only sold to those that have ACTUALLY climbed Everest, it would be a commercial failure. Our success DEPENDS on those that are satisfied to wear some other man's name on their backs and live vicariously through someone else's successes.
And that's a good thing. As long as they are wearing JD, it means that deep down they aspire to be like JD. This means that some day, we may see das go solo (without his 40 man safety team) on the summit of Everest.
I, for one, will welcome him there.
Our opening day sale is nearing its final hours. Hurry and get your JD on!

👆Well said.

JD I do not aspire to be anyone other than myself. Only the people who invested more money than I care to or have been playing since 1st 3 months of TW existence get to play the way you do, I.e solo player capping almost everyone. You were asked to stop doing what you were doing in certain areas only several times and you didn't. Therefore TWFC and rat pack lost patience. We didn't need to wait for turf sale. We just carried out one of the biggest 48hr ass spankings in history of TW. Now for my part, I feel you do have some integrity since you never broke deal we had in Chicago. My advice is get back to doing what you do best and do not drink the coulis offered by some; to quote you; it will not end well! Happy turfing 😈👍

Nice I just built over there Illinois

Jd once told me many years ago "this game needs bad guys" I never forgot that. Jim dirt, I'll buy your shirt.

El! you were the first person that ever capped me in this game. I remember that hollow feeling I got when I saw the notice that I had been capped. That "hey wait a minute" moment. He's not supposed to do that is he?
For you, the shirt is free.

Why is it I'm feeling hard done by with this sale!!!
I visited the once famous Singapore branch the day before the sale, managed to find some items I thought I liked, max'd out my credit cards on full priced merchandise only to walk out the store to see them go up in a 🔥puff of smoke 🔥
And then to return on sale day to find there was only tat left, with the remaining bargin hunters filling their pockets with all fixtures and fittings, leaving a once fully stocked store gutted and looking like an empty carcas ravaged by hyenas 🐺🐺🐺

I got the last Roger That original, cool! 👍

Sin, if you think that is my game play, you have missed it entirely. I play to amuse myself. I come up with little challenges and then try them out. Capping is incidental. Sometimes I see a good idea and try to do it differently. Airports are a prime example of that: I'm not the first to get the idea of closing an airport. I am however, the first that did it single handedly. Not just one airport but two. I'm surprised it went as far as it did. After closing the second one, I started on three at once. I figured that HAD to blow up. I was WAY over turf limit and knew the only way out was to fire sale everything.

Hardly. When a player is as grossly over turf limit as I was, what you did was analogous to 40 guys beating up an old man that was literally too fat to move, let alone fight back.
Vets will remember running Nixon out of SF back in the days when 5k was a huge mob. Nixon could both move and build. THAT was a fight.
The strategies that you THOUGHT you used against me were invented during that SF battle. Hmm... I wonder who invented them?

Thanks Jim! Hope things go good from here.

I gotta be honest JD the primary strategy used was "hey everybody cap Dirt". It seemed to work until you thwarted the vendetta aspect by dropping weapons. Confused the hell out of everybody over here until we realized "hey plan A still works, let's stick with that". Jeez. Have a turf giveaway but as for being strategic I guess that'll depend on what you do once you're mobile. It's kind of like calling starting the engine as being strategic to winning a NASCAR race. Sure it's an important component but I think we all get that part. So in the words of the wise man.....we'll see.
-
All I can say is Jim was very generous in letting many players, including small guys like me, have turf in Toronto. Thanks again Jim.

Jake, it was my exit plan for getting out of airports, nothing more. I wanted to see how far I could push airports but I'm not about to tear down 10k turf! I never thought I'd make one airport let alone two. So, I started on four airports at once. If that's not inviting an attack, I don't know what is. I'm amazed it took you all as long as it did to do something. I honestly didn't foresee that long delay. I could have stripped loot off every turf within reach and left with it but that wasn't necessary since my goal was to exit the airports and not to raid people.I gotta be honest JD the primary strategy used was "hey everybody cap Dirt"...
As for dropping weapons, that's not hard to figure out. After you all spent your stamina, loot and don points destroying my turf, I let everyone else have for free the very thing that you fought for. I thought that was obvious.

Hmm. Looks like you got us good JD. Congrats. Man, boys we got outclassed again by the same master strategist that brought down Belial. Well maybe we'll get you next time. Back to the drawing board for us.

I just play around now and do whatever strikes my fancy. I thought that was obvious.

Well lucky for us it struck your fancy to get capped otherwise we'd have been powerless to stop you.

Just for the avoidance of doubt JD was capping anyone and everyone where possible (neutral players, small players, large players, alliance members and so forth).
This resulted in a few debates and many messages from players asking for help before 1500+ turf were capped in two days.
As many have noted most are in fact other people's turf and had it not been for the alliances mentioned JD would still be capping innocent parties (although I'm aware this is part of the game).
The "Turf Sale" is simply returning turf to the people who he capped and only happened as a result of the co-operation of alliance members (good political spin?) I'm sure other alliances were also capped but chose to accept it. I should also add that there were many more offers for help to cap JD but unfortunately there wasn't enough turf in the given areas 😂

You are right on most points but not for the reasons that you think. I'll respond in a new thread after the fire sale concludes. (Should be sometime today...)

3 weeks ago I asked you if and when you ever decided to go under limit, if I could grab some turf back.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to recollect a few turf here and there.
