Today at 11:00 people around the uk will pay their respects to all those brave people that have sacrificed so much during war.

Not so much, it is the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the day the second world war stopped...
It is to remember all those who have fallen and served protecting our country and freedom and that of others in the world...

I've always had a 5 minute silence to remember family lost and all those that sacrificed everything to protect and serve. Makes me feel sick when people forget.

America helped the UK as the UK got into the mess in the first place with Germany.
Today was to remember everyone that has risked their lives to save our asses. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month was when WWI ended. We wear poppies to show our respects because many died in the poppy fields in belgium (I think it was Belgium), and poppies grew over the top of all the bodies.

We show respects to veterans and the fallen.

If it weren't for them, most of us would not be here as either WWI or WWII would have resulted in the UK being a German territory. If it were WWII we would definitely not exist as we would probably get used for slaves for the nazi's and get prosecuted for being 'different' eventually. Hitler would probably taken over most of Europe if it weren't for us.
