07 NOV 12 - The Battle of JBLM

For those who do not know me, allow me to introduce myself. I am Tweek, and I am a member of the US Army, stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. The following story is a first hand account of events that happened today, on American soil.
It was an unusually bright and beautiful Autumn day, rare in these parts that are usually drenched in rain this time of year. However, the beauty of this day was not to be enjoyed.
The day prior, my platoon received intel of enemy forces gathering near our location. We were alert, but doubtful. The night passed without incident, as did the darkness of early morning. We had all but forgotten the warning that we received yesterday. It was an unfortunate thing.
-
At roughly 0913, we got the call. The enemy had taken us by surprise, parachuting in while we slept. With the sun out and in full force, we were able to see that we had been surrounded in the night. This was the moment that we had been waiting for. We sprung into action, running like a finely tuned machine, the likes of which can only be accomplished when those who work together also live together.
Without hesitation we took up our weapons and rushed the enemy head on. Though we had been briefed, the sheer amount of the enemy all around us had us cursing in disbelief. We gritted our teeth and got to work. Slowly and methodically we cleared out areas, multiple teams performing admirably in their designated areas of attack. So effective was it, that we had to designate teams to remove the piles of the fallen enemy that were rapidly forming all around us.
-
The fight waged on, this was no quick skirmish. Fatigue and desperation spurred on by the nearly overwhelming numbers of the enemy began to gnaw at us, yet we faced forward and drove on. Despite constant enemy reinforcements we were able to clear areas faster than they could repopulate. The tide was turning, and having an end in sight motivated us. We worked faster and more efficiently than ever before, with those beginning to slack off propelled by the watchful eyes and sharp tongue of our leaders.
Finally, through all of the mayhem, it was all over. A simultaneous sigh of relief rippled through our ranks as we realized what we had accomplished. Today, our grounds were liberated. We repelled and removed all of the invading force, and our land was once more free. Our blood, sweat, and tears had bore fruit and that fruit was divine. None of us felt like heroes, we felt as if we had simply done our job. It is what we do, gladly, to keep America beautiful.

Amidst all of the chaos, I managed to snap a few grainy cellphone images of the action, up close and personal. I will share those with you now. For those who are faint of heart, I would advise you not to direct your browser to the posted links.

We were invaded out by Ft. Belvoir, Virginia also!! We are still in the progress of cleaning up the aftermath...

Hey sometimes those things can have pokey edges on them. Well done Tweek ✊
-
God dam are your weapons primitive.
Seems to me the battle would have been over quicker if you'd switched to the automatic, chamberd weaponry. -
Burn them all! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

They've taken up positions around my home 👀😳 I knew this day would come
-
Alas, I had abandoned my homestead for occupation this morning as my property was surrounded by the enemy. Fortunately DonB and Hazardous were home and had done a perimeter sweep of the premises and located the enemy pushing them back to the curb. Upon my arrival home I saw that the city had come and picked up the tattered remains of the enemies fallen comrads....
-
They surrounded the premisis while i was at work, upon arrival i managed to keep them out of the residence, but the more clever enemies followed the k9 and infiltrated the building... long story short, they died on the spot and remained on the carpet until the clean up crew arrived to the scene equipped with heavy dyson power 😂

👏👏Great story! Although it probably would have been better if narrated by a scantly clad OSU girl. Just saying.
-
Today's heroes are fearless!!! Glad you're on our side.
