New iOS 6 update? I think NOT!
Forums › General Discussion › New iOS 6 update? I think NOT!-
For those of you contemplating on updating your software yet again to fix bugs, I warn you to take precautions! I just did this, and now I wish I hadn't and regret that decision! My phone was completely reset as if I took the phone out of the box new from the store...and what's even better is that kept everything old in there I deleted a long time ago...text message conversations dating back to 2010!!
Thankfully I put all my photos, especially those from my trip to New York City on my computer, because all my photos were deleted...well I only had less than 100, but they were all photos I took during Hurricane Sandy!
My lesson learned was to ALWAYS back up your phone and contacts before updating, ever!

It should've backed up automatically when you plugged in. Apple warns and recommends against wireless updating as more problems can occur.

Is there any way to get rid of ISO 6. It totally sucks bad I would like to go back to previous ISO.

Yes, there is a way to doing so via jail breaking method. However, I have not done it so look up some YouTube videos about the subject of downgrading your device. Is there any way to get rid of ISO 6. It totally sucks bad I would like to go back to previous ISO.

I didn't notice a difference with the update.

In regards to your question, I'm not sure that you can downgrade your OS legally.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Define legally. Jailbreak is considered legal. Usually tampering with the domestic software of your phone to your liking is legal. It just voids warrenty.FairyDragon wrote:

Perhaps I'm reading it wrong but this suggests to me like you plugged it in to your computer while it was mid update?!
Im sure this isn't the case though, that'd be silly. 😄👍

I'm happy with the iOS upgrade , previously was having problems with tw and other apps when changing between 3G and wifi, which now appears to be much better - my back up worked but then had done the major back up when changing to IP5 - 8 hours
But all good for me 👍 -
iCloud is god in cases like this. I made the same mistake but luckily I still had my iPhone 4. So I just had to take it to AT&T and problem was solved.

It went to the software update in the setting, and did the usual procedure to update...then my phone turned off and turned back on saying to plug my phone into iTunes on the computer. And when I did that, iTunes said that a problem had occurred and I had to sores tore my phone...didn't give me any other options

That's happened to me I lost everything other then my notes!!! Ridiculous ... The new software is crap I wish I'd never down loaded it

Simple fix go in to iTunes plug your device in set sync when in wifi open side bar on that selection and select sync when in wifi (select your home wifi's name) and every time u come home all will be saved from the day 👍

It restored mine and I didn't lose anything. When it updated it just put everything back on...
