The importance of gun safety(and also drinking)
Forums › General Discussion › The importance of gun safety(and also drinking)-
So this weekend I invited a friend I have know since childhood from Virginia over to my house for some catching up and also activities this week. However he didn't tell me that he was packing heat when he came over. Last night he wanted to go out drinking so I let I drove him to the local bar and he had a "few" beers(I don't drink and also I use the term "few" lightly) and came home after a few hours. At about 11:20 last night I heard a very distinctive loud bang which echoed in the house. I immideitely grabbed my gun and got dressed really quick and a quick sweep of the area forgetting I had company upstairs...
-
After sweeping the bottom floor I yelled up to my guest and asked him if he was ok, he didn't answer so I ran up stairs to check on him low and behold he had his pistol in his hand. The fresh smell of gun powder was in the room, and also the powder burn on his right foot was bleeding(fireball got him). That is where I went completely bat💩 crazy, but considering he was still drunk I preceded to take it away and send him back to bed.

I awoke this morning to find the nicely paved bullet in my kitchen.

I got a shard out but the rest is embedded in my tile. And that's how I spent my Friday evening.

This morning I spent an hour trying to get the other half out, it finally gave up its fight.

The aftermath.
But other than that, please for the sake of others when traveling out of state or staying at a friends house please alert them of any weapons you may bring with you.
Also try not to fiddle with guns after having a few beers. Thanks-ℒƬ. ʗøℒʊℳℬɵ -
Glad everyone is safe! Hope this "friend" coughs up the money for repairs!
-
Damn! It's illegal to pack in the bars here, so that helps some. Any holes in any walls? Glad it didn't turn out worse.

He did, but I'm not going to replace just one tile for 1,000$ it's stupid, and it also makes a good story to tell my children(if I get any)Glad everyone is safe! Hope this "friend" coughs up the money for repairs!

Holy shit man - not sure how I missed this. That could have been much much worse - anyone planning on getting drunk needs to disarm like an adult. Crazy story though.

Thank goodness y'all are all okay, man what a story!
-
Ahh yes, I remember now - the constitution! Is your friend still allowed to have a gun? Could also have been a story at his funeral....

Not a wise crack at all.

The constitution protects his right to have a gun and that right could have killed him ..... or someone else.

Really... Then why the "ahh the constitution" quote?

So in other words yes you were making a crack at the constitution. All you have to do is tell the truth, it doesn't hurt. The constitution protects his right to have a gun and that right could have killed him ..... or someone else.

The constitution point was a reference to a previous vigorous debate that the mods removed. I don't agree with your constitution, and I was having a dig at it. But it wasn't the point of my post.

Nice of you to have a dig at the ideals our country is founded on. Then take your "political debate" reverence and go away as I don't care if you like it or not, this isn't what the thread is about, and on top of that you made it to where you were cracking at my constitution and my friend. If you aren't going to be on subject then don't comment simple.👌The constitution point was a reference to a previous vigorous debate that the mods removed. @Grimm, brown note seemed to dispute your point that it was irrelevant to outsiders. The point of my post was not to ridicule your constitution, but to point out that no one seems at all concerned that this guy is allowed a gun ..... that it is his right to have a gun. this story could have been a eulogy.

No the point of your post was to start a debate and derail the thread. If you aren't happy with it fine, make your own post but don't come onto mine and act like your 💩 doesnt stink. We all make poor judgements in our lives, but what you are saying is that because he messed up one time that his rights should be taken away? Under what authority do you have that we should agree with you? Take your debate somewheres else.@Grimm, brown note seemed to dispute your point that it was irrelevant to outsiders. Hey, he's entitled to his opinion. Not like we don't constantly ridicule and label almost every other country for something.

Too many things to respond to, but I'll bite my tongue. Apologies for hijacking your thread.
