I'm sure you all remember the wave of zombie like news maybe ~3 months ago. I think wave 2 is coming now.

Some of you may or may not know this but the US military just did a bunch of training excersises for a zombie apocalypse.

Well I was just in the airport last night (on vacation in Florida right now) and saw a headline that said
"man bites 4-year-old girl".
If I'm missing something please prove me wrong and let me know because I've had no access to computer and have no time to google it.
I'm sure r/zombies is going to town with this.

Kinda false alarm.
This man bit her as punishment to get her to stop biting.
However the military training was real.

First of all, no. We haven't ever done "zombie training exercises" and we aren't going to start. Sure, some units may have done some "zombie scenarios" but if they have, it was all in fun.
Second, did you even read the article? All it is going to be is some disaster training under the false headline of zombies. This is simply the media trying to get views. Don't believe that garbage in any way.

The CDC has a web page defining their zombie apocalypse preparedness policy, and why it's a rational exercise.

More people know what to do when zombies come than when another country invades, or some airbourne human rabies-like disease makes us all bath salts face munchers.

You should know basic emergency survival tactics and maintain essential supplies in the event of a disaster. Here we are talking about it, huh?

Zombie senarios make general preparedness popular and fun, and grabs headlines for more public awareness.
