  Actually, if you check with ASTRONOMERS instead of that interesting-fact website you all seem to worship, you will find that the most precise alignment of the sun with the galactic center happened in 1997. 15 years earlier than predicted.

  "Missing leap years(stupid)"
  5000 years x .25 days = 1250 days

  1250 / 365.25 = 3.42 years

  3.42 years is not 15 years.

  It was their inability to extrapolate astronomical alignments over 5000 year intervals, not the fact that they used a Gregorian calendar without leap years. F'N DERP!!

  Well I was going to add something constructive but as this thread has already descended into a hopeless pit of patronising name calling I won't, well done brown way to stomp on another's thread just because they dont have the same understanding as you.

  Guys...... The "end of the world" is on the Gregorian calendars's 12-21-12. Not the Mayan 12-21-12. So stop saying we should all be dead already. It doesn't matter what day the Mayans 12-21-12 is, it's the gregorians 12-21-12. OK?

  😂 You remind me of my first ever boss.

  Back in the day when I was but a young lad, fleeing the nest into my first big boy job. I worked as admin clerk in a livestock auction house. The auctioneer was far from a morning person, which is odd. Onside ring he was a life long farmer type.

  He literally made me cry because I made the same mistake a few times. I'd been heavily disciplined in my youth but the way this guy smashed my very soul with his words, cut me deep. He was lethal!

  I've grown up with it. It's the military way. Correct harsh and loud so that everyone nearby also gets the instructional benefit.

  But like most of those screaming soul crushers, I mean well. I really do want to help people grow and improve. When I call you a limp troglodyte, it's really from the heart. 😘
