So I have a speech coming up.

It is a critique speech over a movie. I'm thinking about the movie Invictus or The Patriot, but I would like to have everyone's input on which movie to watch. Preferably not one that's brand new.

The Graduate.👍

I'll look into it

Momento. If you can explain that in a few minutes it will be a great speech. 😄
-
Why are those two movies at the top of your list? What about them sticks out as potential movies?
-
I really enjoy both of them. The patriot has sentimental value. I also heard that Invictus was a good movie.
-
Pulp fiction. Do it you won't.
-
Do the whole star wars saga. Or space balls. Depending on your preference.
-
Shawshank redenption.. It will be a really good speech. The patriot sucks ass

Choose the movie that speaks to your emotions the most. This will enable you to speak with much more passion. Depending on the depth of speech you wish to give, you can show your audience just how it moves you and why.
All we can really do is give you the movies that speak to us, they may not have the same effect on you.
If I were in your position I would choose 'A Time To Kill'. It's a movie adaption of the book by John Grisham. Movies rarely move me or provoke my emotions. However, The book and the movie of 'A Time To Kill' moved me to tears. -
Thanks.

I agree with Knight. Go with the movie that Speaks to you. Whatever movie you can best tell what it means to you should be the movie. Mine would be American History X. Most people cringe with that movie, thinking about the curb scene or just the hate that's in the movie, but I think of the scenes where Edward Norton is speaking to his younger brother about what he learned in prison or the very end when Furlong says "Hate is baggage. Life's too short to spend pissed off all the time".
If the Patriot is that movie to you, then go with it. Best of luck to you.

Thanks, I will take these suggestions and advice into account.
