I have Greek, German, polish (I think ?) and various other Mediterranean nationalities...so they come from somewhere in Europe.
My great great grandmother and my great grandfather along with his brother migrated here to a German speaking community in Texas from Germany in 1917...shortly before the United States entered WWI.

I am German, French, Welsh, Irish, and Russian. I am a quarter Russian. I'm not sure what the percentages of the other nationalities are though.

The acid pool can be the only true answer. My nationality is British/English. As far as we can go back, my mothers family is Scottish. My fathers family is English.
Now, the problem with the claims of being part British, part French, part German... Blah blah... Is that these are geographical locations, not gene pool DNA! These places did not exist as places if you were to go back far enough. So, when in time do we start throwing claims of ethnicity?
So, because it's not possible to trace family trees back before pre-history (which in the large scheme of things, is not that far back!) how is it possible to give a definitive answer? How much can we trust geneolgy DNA tests?
Somebody please point me in the direction of answers!! Lol 😄 I've just about fried my brain trying to decode this conundrum. 😳

I'm Puerto Rican (New Yorican), so my heritage is Spanish, African, and Taino indian.
As for heritage, it, like race, is part genetics and much social construct. Whether you believe in Adam & Eve or evolution (or something else), the bottom line is we're all from the same gene pool. But heritage is where your family roots are, and where your "modern" ancestors came from. I think it's very important to be in touch with your heritage, learn about it, and be proud of it, whether you're Puerto Rican, Black, Irish American, British, Filipino, Aussie, or whatever. If you're of German ancestry, Chinese ancestry, etc. be proud of it - pride is great, as long as it doesn't cross the line into a feeling of superiority.

Ok knight. I'm part Anglo, part Germanic, part Nordic, part Native American, part middle eastern, and due to the Sicilian blood, a little bit of African.

You Native Americans realize that the "Americas" stretch from the arctic circle to the tip of Chili, right? Saying you are part native American is like saying you're part Eurasian.
