Reset your account? ... Have you upset that many people that want to cut your throat that you reset your account.?

Resetting, is it the digital equivalent of being 'Born Again' ?

For some people it is the only way to be sure they don't come back. A lot of people have put in a lot of time, energy and money into the game.

No. That would be like selling alcohol after banishing all AA meeting that would be unfair.
Instead there should be a button that puts mob to 0 and changes all turfs to 85
Then you can quit but leave your mark on the map and help the community.

Maybe a reset button, that button type you suggested and other variants for retirement as people see fit. However, buttons would be spread out well to prevent a mistap and pressing the wrong one.
