Would the parecon model be better for society than capatilism?
-
The parecon model would definitely fix the distribution of wealth problem.
-
Please provide a brief description of participatory economics. It was not covered in my intro to Econ many years ago.

That video seems dumbed down but it gives you the main ideas of parecon.

So, we can debate about gay marriage and science vs religion but nobody wants to weigh in on this?

Look at bees
No crime
No unemployment
Good right?
They all work towards the common goal of society
So in the grand scheme of things communism is the best route
Capitalism is great but it eventually runs it's course
Like now because it becomes overrun with big companies and makes it impossible for small business to thrive
Which eventually leads to a form of socialism -
But like I said this had nothing to do with what you were talking about

Sorry, but this idea just screams "mistakes of the past" to me. It is intensely petty, opinion based, it separates productivity from compensation entirely, and sounds completely delusional.
Sounds like those 2 guys want to be the president of a global labor union.
Enforcement of unnatural rules requires top-down planning. Complex rules call for a large class of "rulers". (See the root of the word there?)
Direct democracy is lame, which jobs are more difficult is an opinion, and planning consumption by each individual is too complex for the average moron to get right.
No wonder we were never exposed to this garbage in economics classes.

Parecon sounded a lot like socialism to me, it has partial freedom, but you are controlled way more than in capitalism. Except instead of the gov controlling your life, other people control your lifeWould the parecon model be better for society than capatilism?
