A chap that was a British institution and a hero to many turns out to be a child rapist and predator. To make matters worse seems the TV license fee helped enable him to commit his crimes and the establishment knew and turned a blind eye to his ways.

I know that someone is presumed innocent until proven guilty and he can longer defend himself, but I think the evidence is too strong. What a shame.

Strange how all the "victims" waited until he died before the accusations. I'm not defending the guy, and I personally thought he was creepy, but its old news that can never be proved.

Yeah and there is no way to prove if he did or not. Imagine if he didnt do anything paedoish, but he will be forever remembered as one.Id hate if i was dead and i got accused but didnt do anything.Oh well. Still was creepy imo

There were allegations whilst he was still alive. But again I think with the passage of time evidence degrades so I think it will be a 'balance of probability' that he did do it as opposed to 'beyond reasonable doubt'.

This is my option, don't judge me!
The man may or may not have done these crimes. But he's dead and can't defend himself. No good can come from this situation so leave things alone.
He did so much for charity, more than any of us will ever do.

So what about all the people he (allegedly) abused, they should be told to forget about it? Also, what If the BBC knew about it and we're covering it up as was suggested? I don't think it should be left alone, it should be investigated and if he is innocent fair enough, if not then fuck all his charity work, could easily have been a front.
