🇺🇸Romney🇺🇸 wins the debate

As an Obama supporter, I was disappointed with his performance. He looked tired, while Romney was aggressive. But then I guess Romney doesn't have much else to do apart from electioneering, whereas Obama still has a country to run, and things are very volatile at the moment internationally. I wish that Obama would stress that every attempt to get the country on track again has been totally thwarted by a Republican congress that was hell bent on ensuring that Obama would not succeed, regardless of the dire consequences to the American people.

I like how everyone thinks that presidents in any way, shape, or form have anything to do with the way that our country is. The president didn't make us lazy, ignorant, and immoral. We did that by ourselves. The presidents can veto bills, but in the end it's all up to the congressmen, who are put into power by us. Next time you want to complain about something wrong with the gov't, actually do something more than voting, because a vote isn't a voice. Votes are counted, not heard. Voices and opinions decide what happens, no matter who is in office.

Romney certainly wins the emotional argument, best appearance, best prepared speaker while Obama seemed distracted.
I don't see where he won anything with actual facts and real, set out plans. Especially loved his avoidance of his running platform of 20% tax breaks and typical political talking points. Still nothing real, valid or new.

Uninsured folks have been going to the ER for decades, and the rest of us have always had to foot the bill.In terms of style (or, if you will, form), Romney did better. In terms of substance, Obama prevailed.
Obama was candid about his policies and his record. Whether the issue was health care (remember last week when Romney said his plan was to send uninsured folks to the ER), to tax cuts (Romney's claim that his plan does not cut taxes by $5 billion is 💩), to Medicaid (like Obamacare, the Ryan budget also takes $718 billion from Medicare and uses it elsewhere in the budget), Romney was deceptive, when wasn't flat out lying.

The base is the majority of america. The Conservatives and the Independents who will determine who is elected.

Well, of course Mitt won the first debate. He had no choice but to win. For Mitt it seems as though he was specifically trying to appeal to Colorado, which 3/4 past elections voted republican, and also his supporters who felt concerned about his image. Mitt denied the same things he has been campaigning about since last year and now he flips his story. He said a lot of grea things and plans but still didn't explain most of them. Obama knows he can't win Colorado, do his debate was more focused upon his plans and it appealed to a lot of other states. Someone above stated that Obamas attacks were elementary when actually he didn't really attack Mitt at all. Obama could have attacked him with the "47%", his campaign, him being a mormon and saying that our country is under one god. Mitt was childish and kept striving for the last word. He even compared Obama to one of his sons or rather "boys" for repeating things. He was elementrary in my opinion.
-
Yes, Obama did repeat his questions, only because mitt didnt answer them. Mitt won this round but it's still a long way to go, Mitt revealed his cards too soon and Obama still has a lot left to say. Not to mention it was the mans 20th anniversary. Not an excuse but I can understand why he didnt wan to be there.

Obama did a great job, made Romney look even better!!! GO ROMNEY!!! :)))
-
Watch the second debate , now that "Mitt" has gone " on the record " about his policy it might be a different story , Not that he really said anything. Just saying as a Canadian observer.

Romney won on style but failed to deliver on content, primarily because all he has to offer is that he isn't Obama. Still, because most Americans today have the attention span of a gnat, it was a win for Romney. Obama needs to hit back hard next time, and call out the lies and half-truths. Bad time to play nice-nice.

Speaking like an alpha-male might make for the appearance of 'winning', but it doesn't mean squat when it comes to the ideas expressed.
IMHO- Romney's head is on autopilot and the ideas are Bush & Cheney 2.0.
We tried it, and it broke.

Obama said many things I disagree with, while neither candidate is perfect, at least Mitt can possibly be a good leader (Obama's horrible foreign policy, saying Eygpt isn't our ally, not giving press conferences, not meeting with his cabinet till may.) plus Obama has horrible ideas and is quite hypocritical (spending 1.4 billion of taxpayer money over 4 years on personal items, etc.) also his views are simply wrong. (government's role is "to keep people safe" accd. to him, saying government should "garuntee" a job after college, not wanting to privitize Medicare and education, wanting to make national healthcare, plus doing pretty much nothing good for 4 years.)
-
The reason Mitt won is because Obama has no place to stand. Mitt still had bullets in his clip. 4 years ago Obama brought ideas and vision to the debates. Now he has to bring his record. Obama is arguing with a man that has ran a huge company and is used to speaking to people in power. E had facts, stats, and most important attitude to win. Score is Mitt 1, Obama 0.

Obama's campaign strategy was to 'talk to the American people and not use one-line zingers' Romney's plan was to go right after Obama, however him not looking at the camera, interrupting Obama and smirking the whole time did nothing. Some republican friends of mine agreed that they will stray from Romney after his backward (as one put it Bush v2) ideals.Anyone notice that Romney was always looking at Obama during the debate but obama looked at the crowd the hole time it's a debate between Romney and obama talk and make eye contact O Ya Romney wooped obamas butt Woo go REPUBLICIONS

Finally a candidate who's able to call a spade a spade. Sometime people are threatened by the truth and don't like to hear it.
