Is it OK to use the airplane's wi-fi to place several turf on your way to your destination (for example, 1 or 2 in each state/country) while flying in real life, or will you have a higher chance of being banned?

It does not seem to be possible to plant turf in flight from the few people I talked to.

I have tried it on my flight to San Francisco. For the first 15 minutes out of DFW and the last 15 minutes of flight as we were nearing San Francisco, I had 3G. However, the plane was moving WAY too fast to plant turf and from what I understand, if you use the plane's wifi, it will more than likely claim that you are at the airlines main hub or office rather than inside the actual plane which will nail you for spoofing.

I do know that players have dropped turf while in flight but as for me, I have had no success.

The GPS in your phone isn't that great; under normal conditions it uses cell tower triangulation first, and then GPS to give a better location. It can work on GPS alone, but it is limited in its ability to lock onto satellites and at any kind if speed it's just not going to happen.

If you get a GPS receiver like garmin glo, or dual gps along with the planes wifi you should have no problem doing it.

I've tried it. I was able to plant a turf just after takeoff. And one just before landing. And trust me. I tried during the whole flight. I did not use the planes wifi though.

It is possible. I have done it on a flight without wifi a little while before landing. With wifi I think you can do it, it will just be slightly tricky w the speed.

I just bought wifi last night on my plane and it is unable to locate you. That's it... That's what it said. Tried the whole 4 hrs off and on. Nothing... However I have also had success with 3G right before or after the runway

I was flying from Fiji to America and I used my phones 3G to place 1 turf in Fiji and one at LAX
