Are you or did you used to be a DJ. If so what did you play,do you prefer vinyl or cd and what country you played in. Ive been a DJ from the late 90's, I've always played vinyl (but can see the advantage of cdj's) and have played all over London 👍👍
-
Oh, and I play everything from 80's rnb to drum and bass raves
-
New DJ, I prefer online albums, cd's are quite useless to me, I'm mixing dubstep and a few hardstyle songs, so far I got multiple albums released, and I live from the money I make on making music <3

I was a DJ in the 1990's in California. Did some radio, clubs, and parties. I much prefer vinyl, both for its classicness and its warmer sound.

At the moment I am mainly mixing trance.I like cd but I also love vinyl too.
On vinyl I mainly have hardsyle, schranz, hard tech and electro.I first moved to a CDJ when I started dubstep about 5 years ago. (Too bad dubstep has changed allot in 5 years)

I've been a Dj since '96. Started with a truckload of discs and cassettes. Been using OtsAvDj to mix beats, mix video into audio tracks, karaoke, and Dj club tracks as well as weddings and the Days of the Dead horror movie convention. I use an HpDv8000 laptop with 2.5terabyte externals. Yamaha 15"s with high tweets and mid horns and two Behringer 18" subwoofers.

Still do a bit, started with 1200 then to 1210, now just use Virtual DJ, used to do warm up sets and had the honour to do dreamscape back in the late 80 early 90's then joined the Royal Navy.... all that talent wasted

If you never owned Technic 1200's and a cheap, crackly ass Gemini mixer, you were never a DJ!
I had an old Roland TR-707 drum machine too!

Ha, me too. I was one of the 1st ones to break "Players Ball" on the West Coast, before Outkast dropped their album. I got to hang out with a lot of rappers, which wasn't always a good thing. Some were straight up assholes. 😄

I used to cut up the sleeves that the records came in. I would put them on the turn tables to make the backspin smoother.
