I had the pleasure of riding to Mt Airy and seeing the real life inspiration for Mayberry. Even met the 84 year old real life "Floyd" the barber. Yes he is still cutting hair. Nicest person I think I have ever met ..decided to cap his barbershop.

Great show. Still on all the time. Pretty cool you met Floyd.

Floyd was the shit... 🚕™

I'm 15 and I know what that show is. I still watch it occasionally. Does that make me old?

WTF station plays the re-runs?
I haven't seen an episode for like 15 years and I still get whistling the theme every now and then. -

I'm only 25, but in my early teen years, I'd watch Sonny & Cher, Ed Sullivan, Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Ab Fab, Brady Bunch (of course), I Dream of Jeannie, That Girl (I loooved That Girl), Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke...hmm, what else? I went through phases..this was my tv land phase. Oh & I'd listen to the oldies station all the time.
