What's better - the past or future?
Forums › General Discussion › What's better - the past or future?-
For TW, we talk / hear about the vets who've left, the golden era and all. Is the best part over or stii to come?
How about the world? Are things gerally getting better or were the 1800's, 1950's or some other time better - or is the future so bright we need to wear shades?
You own life...elementary or high school, college or other glory days seem better than today? Things looking up and you think 10, 20, 50 years from now will be the best time of your life?

No one knows the future you make the future with your body and brain sir

Walking in the past will keep you a step behind of the future so learn from mistakes and don't repeat them in the future.

You lived in the past but will be dead in the future. Hard call actually.
Given a time machine would I travel back in time and give Bandit a steak dinner the night before he died or would I instead travel forward in time and lose the ability to enjoy the unexpected in life? Not a hard call.

The future is something you can never know for sure, but in the end you control it. Just like you controlled your past at one point. So while the future is always unclear, you can always rely on the past to be consistent and give you the happiness you want

For me, I think TW peaked in 2010; the world overall is getting better slowly (longer life spans, more people with leisure time and some disposable income) but there are sustainability issues coming home to roost in 20-50 years; and personally - my mid 40s are going pretty damn well and things are looking up.

The past took its sweet time getting here just as the future takes its sweet revealing itself. I'll just continue to be grateful I'm lost in the now.

There is no person who should look badly upon their past. For it is the past which provides us the knowledge, which becomes the driving force to our futures.
We cannot make our own future, nor can we decide what our future will hold. We can however, use our experience to guide us on the journey.

Every generation is diffrent. People who live don't know what the future holds because anything can happen. You can only do what you want in present day to achieve something later in life, the possibilities are endless. I have good fun memories in the past and would like to revisit them again, but because I can't I just, I move on and try to live life as happy as possible, making the little things count. As for TW and the golden age, I Wouldn't know anything about it because I wasent apart of it. As for now and the future, the forums and and posts can only become, worst or better depending on the community who decides to change it with.
