Can any one tell me wat a geo coder is and how it works

O.o the geocoder is part of the map that allows you to plant turf, if I remember the explanation...
Let my guess, yours is acting up and says its says It's over limit or something?

Geocoder translates coordinates to addres locations. It is a third party api provided by for example google or apple. Some like google have a limit on the requests per ip/account
