9/11 List

Had several requests where I was reading the list and a few people asking why. The first question is easy to answer. It is at:
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/lists/by-name/index.html
The second question is something you must answer yourself. Read through the list...looking at pictures of people, their age, where they worked and where they died. Let it sink in and you will find the answer. Share if you like...I already actually stated my reason...to remember more clearly people I knew.

My aunt was late to work that morning. Otherwise, she'd be on that list. Many of her coworkers are, however. RIP

I'll also add, to New Yorkers, and those with roots there, the loss of the Towers themselves hurt (aside from the human loss). They were an iconic NYC symbol, and I feel a little bit of NYC died forever that day.

I just had a cigar with David Ricca. He was in the second tower on 9/11 working at Merril Lynch when first plane hit. He and others immediately left for the stairway. We was on the 30 floor when the second plane hit. He made it out only a 2 or 3 minutes before his building collapsed. He is an amazing person not just because of what happened to him but in how he responded. What an amazing experience it was for me to meet and speak with him

I meant "He" of course. I was not there.
