On September 11, 2001, the cowardly actions of terrorists caused the deaths of 2,977 Americans. The wars in reaction to this caused 7,025 American deaths, for a total of 10,029 deaths - over a period of 19 years.
In just the past 2 weeks, the actions of the president of the United States have intentionally and directly caused 10,952 American deaths.
We said we wouldn't forget. We lied.

What? This didn't come from an echo chamber. These are numbers that I pulled from the DoD and the WHO. Do you disagree that if trump had taken this virus seriously from the start, that maybe we wouldn't have 190,000 dead?Tweek wrote:

Yes. Doubly so considering he is on tape stating just how deadly covid-19 is on February 2nd.Tweek wrote:

America had 0 covid-19 deaths at that time.
That has nothing to do with any echo chamber and more to do with basic common sense, something which conservatives seem to have completely forgotten over the past 4 years.

I am extremely put off by using a 9/11 remembrance threat , on its anniversary date to debate if Trump is evil incarnate or the savior of US working families.

Let us reflect on the impact of how the beliefs of a few were so passionately held and how that passion caused the deaths of so many innocent victims.Let us never forget.

It’s just that you indicate he intentionally killed nearly 11,000 Americans. You don’t talk about his motivation, but I’m sure it’s “Money, money, money! MUAHAHAHAHAAA!!”
Just the fact that you believe he acted in bad faith with zero evidence means you are victim to the over politicizing environment of the media. I mean, he should exaggerate the horror of the virus, right? How does he get ratings?? Why would he not want people to panic??

Man, he's on tape, February 7th, stating exactly how deadly covid-19 is. He then proceeded to tell everyone that it's nothing to worry about, it'll magically go away, it's fake news, etc. Is that not bad faith? Is that zero evidence?
And no, you got that number wrong. It's over 190,000 now. 11,000 is just the past two weeks. He was directly responsible for the apathetic approach that conservatives took towards covid-19. He should be charged for each death.

Or maybe, he was doing exactly what he described. You know, buying up PPE and equipment in secret while we still could, and at the same time preventing a panic run on toilet paper.
Oh, wait... That happened anyway. Maybe he should have told everyone that we’re all going to die, and we should run out and horde 6 months of food. See if that would save 190,000 lives...
The sheer unbelievable political blindness to suggest that all the deaths could have been prevented if he locked down the country immediately... It was only 6 months ago. I remember how it went down.
He banned travel to/from China. “He’s racist!”
He banned travel from Europe.
“What an idiot.”All the media talked about was how draconian the Chinese were, and there was no need for that kind of over-reaction.
It’s just politics for you guys. You deceive yourselves.

I’m prescribing a mental health exercise. Every day, reflect on something good about the President. If you can’t find anything, you have a serious problem.
I don’t care which president we talk about, going all the way back. Every single president does good for the country and does bad for the country. Usually, most of it’s good in the eyes of the people that voted the president in, and this president is no exception.
But if you are so blinded by hatred that you see nothing but pure evil in the elected leader of our country, I’m really worried for you. You live in a false reality.
I didn’t vote for the guy... But surely you can see that some changes he has implemented are good for us. Just take what you were foaming at the mouth toward W., and apply it to Mr. Trump. You should be happy about him at least for SOMETHING.
