No, this isn't a sarcastic thanks for baic capping me in California last night :). Just a thanks for all the nice comments and PMs for our loss. They made Karen cry, but in a good way.
I think as you get older you appreciate that unconditional love a dog gives you more. Bandit was the smartest dog I have ever had, understanding 100s of words, phrases, and hand gestures. In fact the last thing I remember doing with him was sitting down with him in the wee hours and saying "wanna CAP arboc?" and he hopped up on the couch and laid down with his nose about an inch from my iPad. No clue what his thoughts were that night but he always associated CAP with something fascinating he had to watch on the iPad...or maybe he thought all that fast tapping was just me trying to catch a fly or something that he just couldn't see. Didn't matter, he had fun.

Yeah, that is hard to see a great dog die. But it is cool he was such a great sounding dog and had a personality alright to watch someone play turf wars. Time for your dog to rest easy. He finished his journey and lived a good life I bet. He got to the end while everyone else is still trying to find their way and have some fun memories along the road trip 👍

Sounds like your dog lived a very happy life.

My last cat lived to be 18, and yeah, I cried when she died. Pets become part of your family. Sorry for the loss, man.

Yep...he also liked to follow me around and stick his nose near whatever I was working on, whether it was working under the car or even hammering nails. But TW seemed to fascinate him most...he might even have memorized the names havoc and bugs over the last several weeks...or maybe just the word damn :)If your serious, then I don't mind losing those turf. 😜

It reminds me of Enzo in the "Art of racing in the rain" and the passion he shared with his owner for everythiing related to car racing from watching replay of Ayrton Senna F1 races to being a co-pilot when testing car. I pretty sure you must had read the book, if not, I highly recommend it.Arboc Suomonev wrote:

Yep and not totally out of Atlanta... -
My 15 year old dog has gone grey in the muzzle, is mostly deaf and eyes are cloudy. She sleeps most of they say but still gets excited when we get outdoors in the pines but limps for a day after a long walk. I see it coming and it's hard.
Thanks for sharing and glad you had a great dog.

I feel your pain, hang in there !
