If you remember during katrina in new orleans they went door to door confiscating guns from people. People that were transporting their guns to dry ground, people protecting their property from looters. There was a viral video on youtube where they tackled an old lady in her home after they asked if she had a gun. They forced their way inside her house and they jumped and beat her when shr showed them the gun they asked about. Many to this day have not had their rightful property returned to them. Past and current administration have done everything they can to suspend our rights during so called emergencies.

There is a movement to remove the 2 amendment from the US. Funny how our president is so fond of the UN's policies of "peace". Hey if we had military troops walking down our roads with AR-15s and other assult rifles we wouldn't need a "2 amendment" huh?
-
They currently run drills in the US using domestic and foreign military personnel to run traffic stops. Our own military shuts down rural towns to run lockdown drill and the residents think its fun and they are taking part in training. They are in a way in training. Traing to be slaves. These drills are meant to desensitize people to thinking its ok to be stopped and locked down by the very military that is sworn to protect us.

We want all our civil liberties and we want 100% security. Truth is, we can't have both at the same time, one needs to give way for the other to happen. Suffer some invasion of your privacy or leave more room for bad actors to affect your life. Pick one.

It's a wonderful ideal we should never let go of, but we live in a much different world now. More intervention may have prevented some of the school shootings we read about. What we don't hear about is successes by Homeland Security, ICE, Coast Guard and all the other agencies looking out for us because making the operations public would compromise techniques and assets. I'm willing to trade off some privacy for that.

Taking guns away from law abiding citizens is ridiculous. How are they to protect their homes when criminals break in. Whether guns of legal or illegal to own. Criminals will always have them.
