Steam Help?

Anyone who has steam I need help. I have recently bought Garry's mod and got the Garry's mod 13 beta, and also have not half life 2 and got lost coast or whatever it's called with it. However, if I try to install them it will get about halfway done and then say the steam servers are too busy try again a few minutes later. I've been having this problem for about a week. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Also, how do you make a new folder on windows xp?

I have steam, but your post is a little cluttered. Which games are you trying to install?

Also, make a new folder by right clicking and finding the "New" button; then click "Folder".

The beta is broken on macs. Also the extra thing that the half life came with isn't on Mac yet so you can not use or install it.

I don't see a new button, and im trying to install half life 2 and Garry's mod. I've bought them they just won't download without getting stoppe evade the servers are too busy.

Pc. I have both and I have a vast understanding of Mac, but pc just makes me sick when I try to do anything. Anytime I try to troubleshoot anything on of I usually just end up getting help or calling support.

Restart steam.

ALSO DO NOT USE THE MATERIALS TOOL. It will crash the computer.

1. Delete whats been downloaded already.
2. dlete clientregistry.blob from the steam folder
3. Try to re-download.

It's never happened to me but the one problem I did have was fixed by me uninstalling steam then reinstalling and logging back in

Also, I've restarted steam

Also also, I was indeed able to install Gotham city importers and space pirates and zombies
