They did something similar in the UK as a game show. "The Prison" I think they called it.
Read up on it when I was at college doing psychology and sociology. Interesting study.

That was fricken buzzy! It just goes to show all people have that basic animal instinct, even going in knowin that it was all an experiment, it still became about survival! At the end of the day when shit hits the fan people will only look out for themselves! Even to a point where they would let one suffer inorder to maintain a standerd of living.

I actually kind of want to take part in an experiment of this kind. I guess that's because I love to push myself beyond my limits ... but I've never had a chance to test my phycological limits. It's always been physical tests I've taken part in 😏

Lol true not exactly, but if you want to watch a Hollywood movie with the same scenario it's worth the watch.Add: KOZY wrote:

I was also at a bar drinking last night when I posted that

I didn't think it was inhumane. Sure, I can see why a lot of people were put off by it, which is why they created the rules for future case studies, but Zimbardo's experiment was especially vital to understanding behavior.

I agree with jenn that the positives on the field outweigh the negatives on the people
