I find out next week what my job will be and sign a contract. Jobs come out the beginning of every month, and this next one is supposed to be the biggest list!! I'm so excited!

I just moved from the academy back in February. It's in a really once isn't location! If you do get accepted, make sure you always have your military ID on you! I worked at the commissary, and there were so many cadets who didn't have IDs so they couldn't shop. I hope I get stationed in Colorado Springs!

Haha...that's because I didn't know I'd ever get my chance too! I haven't had the best luck trying to enlist, but I finally got my opportunity and went the way I planned (sort of)!!

I'm trying for the intel field as my priority, but if no jobs are opened, then space is my second option because I'm a 4th generation to go in the Air Force, and my Great Grandfather founded the space and missiles program

Don't believe anything your recuitor told you! Unles he/she put it in writing, they tend to promise anything to get you to join. Good luck and thank you for your service. USAF 1996-1999

Oh my, it would be my dream to go to the academy in Colorado. It truly is a spectacular school. But only the top 7 percent out of 10,000 get accepted. Also I always carry my Gov ID with me when I go on post, because you really can't get on without it can you? 😁 Good luck and have a great experience!

The Air Force Academy is an open base, so civilians can get on as well. Thanks! And good luck to you as well!! If it makes you feel any better, I have 10 friends going to the academy, and two of them weren't in JROTC. And one of the two is probably one of the stupidest people I know (not that I'm dating you're stupid or anything)! 😁

Oh I know! I had my dad, a captain in the Air Force (prior enlisted navy) come with me to make sure he could "correct" my recruiter on stuff. And they did promise a good job, but to ensure that, my dad is coming with me again to pick out jobs, and if I need him to, he can get contacts to get me a job in the Space field
