A 14 year old boy that went to school with my daughter up till this year, was shot at around 10pm Thursday night and left for dead in the streets. They estimate, he had been dead for 30 minutes before a patrolling policeman found him laying in the streets. Now, the whole town is freaking out, helicopters are patrolling the town from above all night long, and rumor has it, a group of LA gang bangers are in their way here to "Fuck shit up". Gonna be a long night.

I've been through Colusa. I'm sure this was a shocker for the entire community. Thoughts are with the boy's family and friends. I hope they catch the perpetrator.

Was just informed by a friend of mine on the police department that it would be wise to keep our kids inside all this weekend and next week. That they too ate expecting a rise in gang violence and are doing the best they can to prepare for it. Ugh. So much for the peaceful small town living

Let's just hope that the parents are properly armed over there just incase they have a "unexpected visitor" or "party" at there house. I here that they are very strict on the gun laws. Stay safe.
