Dint understand how Jon jones won't take a fight it's a disgrace. Opinions?

The question is what does jones gain from winning? He is risking more than the reward. It doesn't look good on him but it's a smart play on his part....

I think jones chickened out a little. But I'm sure Its career oriented. Sonnen wouldn't have been that competitive for jones right now. He just lost to Silva a month ago. And would have fought below weight.

You said it best. I just really hope Machida is better prepare this time around. I believe in Machida🙏 He knows now what he needs to do to beat jones.

Greg Jackson told jones not to take it so I feel he had the biggest role in jones not taking the fight

I'm a huge Jones fan but think he should have took the fight. Better to take Sonnen at 8 days notice rather than the usual 90. Jones is also business orientated and it's on record that he's previously stated he won't retire a broke athlete. So maybe this influenced his decision also.

Gsp - gotta love the Canadian - but I hate watching his fights. He couldn't finish a fight if his life depended on it. I simply won't go to the bar when he is fighting it isn't interesting.

As for jones - yea turning down fights is bad - but the guy is a monster - a little big to fight below light heavyweight, no?

Wasn't he projected to start taking heavyweight fights ?

Of the fights I watched - Not to many have even threatened jones. Crazy.
