Re wrote te post
I made a thread about this about two weeks ago but i have updated now.
Im on a budget so I cannot spend alot!Intel core i7 2700k CPU
Asus Radeon 7770 2gb video card
Seagate barracuda 1tb Hardrive
16gb Ddr3 RAM
Coolermaster enthusiast series
750 wat PSUI cant renember the motherboard (Asus paying 120 pounds for it!)
All i need to run is minecraft TF2 and battlefield smoothly
(Whilst Recording)
Any experts out there that an tell me if this will meet my requirments? My PC will be hooked up to a 32 inch TV until i get a monitor...
I will be upgrading the hardrive too and may buy abother graphics card a bit later -
What's your budget
-
All this including the operating system and the the case etc costs 860 pounds i dont really want to go past that...
-
No no no no!!! I told you the i7 is a waste of money! No one has even multithreaded properly for a dual core let a lone an 8 core! Get an i5 and the fastest on at that and they are very easily over clockable speed is more important then the amount of cores! And 16 gb of ram is a waste of money too, 8 is more then enough if still not to much I think windows vista only uses up to 4gb Ram
Personally I would go for a GeForce card these days. I was a radeon fan back in my day but after they merged with amd they seem to be just a step behind the gforce -

The Nvidia Geforce is what they use in the alienwares you think id be better getting one of them? -
i5 I'm not to sure it was ages ago when I got my but litteraly look at the highest speed one that you are willing to pay for. And GeForce I do recommend I've got 570 which is quite a mid range one but suits my need and I play battlefield on quite high settings but I heard the 670 680 series are very good too and new then what I've got.
-
Oh and if you do look at the GeForce 600 range make sure that your motherboard is PCi express 3

Go with a Radeon 7970. Its a great graphics card for the price you pay. Stick with the i7. It will help with recording and rendering and so will the 16gb of ram.
-
Looks like a good setup to run what you wanna run...don't skimp on the mother board or processor ...if you can get a solid state drive to run your operating system
-
Hmm
-8gb RAM (Can be more specific if ya want.)
-i5
-psu is overkill
-gpu is good
-get the mobo specifics. That can make/break your build, so don't skimp out on a cheap one, but don't spend all your budget on it. -
Hey, my graphics card is total crap, I only get around 4-10 frames on minecraft and I can't play TF2 and most games on steam for that matter. Anybody here know a good graphics card for like 80-100 dollars?

Get a Solid state drive and don't get a cheap mobo
-
Hmmmm... On a budget, can't spend a lot... No monitor, only a tv...
Sounds like an Xbox to me.

1TB just for gaming is overkill. Go for a solid state drive.

You could get all that and more for £600-£700

I'm inclined to agree with Seller on the Graphics, and I'd like to make a suggestion regarding your choice of HDD - if you're willing to spend a little more, go for a small SSD as your primary, and a standard 1TB as your secondary. The read/write speed boost is definitely worth it IMO. Just my 2c worth ... good luck mate! 😉👍
