  Sometimes your wifi is connected with you phone. I have almost the same thing- when the router is down you can't call anyone

  Right click on the wireless icon in the system tray (where the clock is) and select troubleshoot problems.

  LOL wifi on dial up, I wouldn't wish that on anybody!
