I do respect what the droid does and has to offer though. Just the iPhone seems more polished IMHO.

Having my iphone and nexus one I'll offer my thoughts:

The android phones offer great customization, the widgets are great. The Apps are no where near the quality of the iphone apps. The touch screen is no where near as good as the iphones. I give the iphone browser a slim nod over the android browser but flash on the android browser is nice and does work well.

I love having the google integration on the android especially google voice which I use for work a lot. I love my nexus one for its unrestricted wifi/usb tethering option. No need to jailbreak and no paying AT&T anything extra. Lately I've been using my nexus one as my primary phone and using the iphone for the apps only. They are both good platforms and each has its drawbacks and perks.

Oh pus with the android phones you can change your keyboard and load which is amazing. I wish the iPhone had swype so we can use it as our default keyboard.

Yeah the droid does do a lot. I dunno it all really depends on what you want. I am in love with the iPhone 4 and the new JB has made it that much more amazing. All the stuff the droid does is pretty much avaliable. And swype is on it's way to the app store so when it gets rejected I can still get it from the JB. It sucks that apple restricts the stuff available but I get why they do it. It does make the phone less quirky for the less tech savvy user therefore improving customer satisfaction. My mom for instance wouldn't know what to do with a widget or a user profile. And I'm happy that she finally has a phone that I don't have to constantly teach her how to use. Omg I wanted to smash her blackberry!
