Cross country

Well since the begining of summer, i lost about 20 pounds, i was 137 and i'm not 119. I got myself in shape and i'm jogging, biking, swimming and more. And i was thinking i might join track. I'm only like 5'5 and i'm 119lbs. Would i be to short? Is it a bad idea? I want your feedback. Ps, i'm 15.

Track is usually a spring sport, so you could try out for cross country first. I was 5'5" and 120 when I was 15 and did alright.

just stick with swimming.

A lot of amateur runners, and even their coaches, mistakenly neglect weight-training. Though nothing trains you to run better than running, you should lift weights as well.
I'm 6' and 180-190 lbs, and I run a 5:50 mile. That's not all that great, but I am 30, so my peak is already past. I'd recommend, in addition to triathlon events, at least do pushups, pullups, and flutter-kicks. And don't do more than two events a day. But I'm no expert. Maybe someone else here knows a little more.

I'm 5'10 175. When I did cross country this year I placed 41 out of 478. I was 20 off from making provincials. (this was my first time running)

Height doesn't matter in running. I've seen kids shorter than you make varsity their first year, whether they were weight training or not. You should do track, just stick to distance events if you like jogging type stuff, meaning half mile and longer.

Go for cross country. Then track. It's about indurance. Go go it. You will be glad you did.

Ran X-country in high school. State finalist my senior year. Very fun times and the craziest people you will ever meet. Hot girls as well. Once you get the 3 mile down, track is a breeze.

I started track my junior year. Now I'm a senior and I'm doing xc and I love both. I wish I did it sooner. Just go for it. Trust me you'll love it
