  @ Jakers, I agree.

  I honestly don't see the point. If the government of the US actually has alien technology and comes out and says they have covered it up and aliens exist beyond a doubt and a quarter of the alien-US government theories are correct, what will happen? I imagine many, many people will just continue their daily lives. Many some gloating that they were right about a US government cover up but no mass panic. Only reason I can think of is to stop a mass panic and I doubt that will happen. Another and more lowly is other government's not knowing of our advanced technology. But I figure the knowledge of the technology's existence on an international public level will do little in endangering the technology from becoming widely known on how to build it. The US would just protect it like they do their nuclear weapons, extensively.

  Or if it turns out the government doesn't have alien technology all along, it turns out the same for many, many, people: it affects their lives in only the knowledge of that and little else aside from bragging rights in doubters of the alien-US government theories.

  There is no life on mars!! Does anyone actually know why they are going up to mars just now?? They are building a station up there and are handing out 1 way tickets for people to live there In many years to come!

  Why search for intelligent life on other planets? We have a hard enough time finding it here on earth.
