Chem trails

A method of suppressing the formation of contrails from the exhaust of an engine including the steps of providing a solution of a non-corrosive surfactant in a combined carrier and nucleating agent selected from the group of water soluble monohydric, dihydric, trihydric or other polyhydric alcohols, forming the solution into a vapor, and injecting the solution into the exhaust of the engine. The solution may include by weight between about 0.01% to 2.5% of the non-corrosive surfactant, between about 1% and 8% water, and between about 85% and 99% ethylene glycol. Another solution may include by weight a monohydric, dihydric or polyhydric alcohol in an amount of between about 85% and 99% and the non-corrosive surfactant in an amount of between about 0.01% and 8%. Still another solution may include an inorganic nucleating or hygroscopic salt, such as ammonium iodide, ammonium fluoride, silver iodide or calcium chloride in monohydric, dihydric or polyhydric alcohols and surfactant...

Keep in mind that this is ONE patent from the 60s-90s. As it's been said, this ISN'T a secret. People just tend to not read the important stuff because if it's not titled "chemtrail" it must not be right?
Call it whatever you want. But our governments are spraying chemical aerosols in the atmosphere and changing the weather. I mean... How do people keep calling this a conspiracy theory? It's documented countless times.

🌾ᏦᎻᎪᏞ🌾, 4nick8r, mojopilot, scientist, alexi, marilyn, and whoever else knows better than to believe this... Cat got your tongue? I thought I was a tin foil hat wearing idiot? Surely you can come up with better evidence to disprove me? Right? I mean it's only a US patent record. Not like that holds weight compared to your wikipages and YouTube vids... 😏

So there is a patent for something that could create something like chemtrails. What does that really mean? Go to the us patent and trademark office website and you can browse through patents. You'll find all sorts of goofy things that clearly would never make it to market, as well as valid ideas. It's quite the wide range of ideas. Most of the patents there never came to life so to speak.
My point here is that just because there is a patent does not mean that something was made.
Furthermore, some of those examples you gave are devices to reduce or elementary contrails; something the military has a need for when working with reco flights.

I am a pilot. I have worked in airline and corporate settings and had a connection with a few people flying weather research for NOAA. I have never came across anything on any airplane that I have flown or death with otherwise that injects anything other than fuel (sometimes water or alcohol for performance reasons) into an engine. That's first hand experience that Chemtrails are not what people seem to think they are.

Thank you autocorrect...

😂😂😂Some people have too much time on their hands to come up with stuff like this. A condensation trail aka contrail to be a evil chemtrail.
The only chemtrail I can confirm comes out my ass crack while walking down the street.

Sorry I was distracted watching Dexter.
Here's proof that this patent, or one like it, has been deployed on military planes, for the purpose of weather manipulation for use as a weapon. Too bad you only know commercial and research pilots mojo... Chat with air force guys sometime. Might learn somethings you've apparently never heard of for whatever reason...

Project Popeye was an experiment in increased rainfall through cloud seeding jointly approved by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Defense. The technical aspects of the experiment were verified by Dr. Donald F. Hornig, Special Assistant to the President of the United States for Science and Technology. The government of Laos was not informed of the project, its methods or its goals.
Robert S. McNamara, U.S. Secretary of Defense, was aware that there might be objections raised by the international scientific community but said in a memo to the president that such objections had not in the past been a basis for prevention of military activities considered to be in the interests of U.S. national security.
During October 1966, Project Popeye was tested in a strip of the Laos panhandle east of the Bolovens Plateau in the Se Kong River valley. -
The test was conducted by personnel from the Naval Ordnance Test Station located at China Lake California. Fifty cloud seeding experiments were conducted with the result that 82% of the clouds produced rain within a brief period after having been seeded. It was claimed that one of the clouds drifted across the Vietnam border and dropped nine inches of rain on a US special forces camp over a four hour period. After the successful completion of the test phase, Project Popeye transitioned from an experiment to an operational program of the U.S. Defense department.

Operation Popeye goal was to increase rainfall in carefully selected areas to deny the Vietnamese enemy, namely military supply trucks, the use of roads by:
Softening road surfaces
Causing landslides along roadways
Washing out river crossings
Maintain saturated soil conditions beyond the normal time span.Starting on March 20, 1967, and continuing through every rainy season (March to November) in Southeast Asia until 1972, operational cloud seeding missions were flown. Three C-130 aircraft and two F4-C aircraft based at Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base Thailand flew two sorties per day. The aircraft were officially on weather reconnaissance missions and the aircraft crews as part of their normal duty generated weather report information. The crews, all from the 54th Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, were rotated into the operation on a regular basis from Guam. Inside the squadron, the rainmaking operations were code-named "Motorpool"
-
The initial area of operations was the eastern half of the Laotian panhandle. On 11 July 1967, the operational area was increased northward to around the area of the 20th parallel and included portions of far western North Vietnam. In September 1967, the A Shau Valley in South Vietnam was added to the operational area. Operations over North Vietnam were eliminated on April 1, 1968, concurrent with conventional bombing restrictions being put into effect. The southern region of North Vietnam was added to the operational area on September 25, 1968, and then removed on November 1st of that year concurrent with a halt to conventional bombing of North Vietnam. In 1972, most of northeastern Cambodia was added to the operational area,
All rainmaking operations ceased on July 5, 1972. -
Two different things here. Cloud seeding does exist, it's done stateside on limited basis to control drought. it's typically done by small piston aircraft and if seen, it would not appear to be a contrail. It is done just above low stratus clouds preventing anyone on from being able to see this from the ground.
-
I never said cloud seeding was not a real thing. The Chineese did it during the Olympics 4 years ago in an attempt to improve the weather in Beijing. What I do think deserve the tin foil hat is the stretch that all long lasting contrails are then "chemtrails". One being true doesn't make the other true.
-
I know that some say they have to do with the government program HAARP, apparently they are trying to controll the weather for better or worse. Google it guys.
-
I should probably tell the guys at work here at the NOAA headquarters about this secret weather tampering happening above us right now. You'd think our own federal weather agency would know about these things, but you know...
We don't. 😜

When I was a kid I bought into the conspiracies as well. You will grow out of the ridiculous ones at one stage or another. And no, it's not because I'm close minded or any other theory you might think up of to explain my doubt.

Does this thread require a tin foil hat?
