Wine...ohhh, bad memory. Still can't drink it. So I was in Naples, Italy for new years 2005 and I had about 3 1/2 bottles of wine (that's correct...3 1/2....not a typo) at this little cafe because it was at the end of the pier where my ship was at. It was cold and raining and I wasn't about to walk to a bar. We got underway a couple of days later and I was still in my rack. I was so sick! I didn't work for 3 days. The only time i got up was to use the head. Good thing I was the boss and no one cared!

2005 was a good year for wine. 3.5 bottles damn! I hope you mixed it up a bit.

Wow, I assumed this game was filled with nothing but little 15 year olds .. but reading some of these posts, just shy of 30, has me feeling like a little kid in a room full of adults. Kudos to all the old fogies who also have too much spare time on their hands. ๐

Many years ago Nick used to post pic of himself AND Beauty quite often. They used to attend TW functions in different Part of US and no one NOT ONE person thought anything bad about it -

Iโm finally sober for just over a month now. My favorite type of wine is either Tempranillo (these can be awfully bad though hard to find good ones) or Malbec.

Like obviously I donโt want a bottle from then, even tho thatโd be sick. I just wanna know if thereโs a winery or orchard or whatever theyโre called that has roots dating back centuries like that.
Madeira was a wine (from the island of Madeira) in the 1700โs and it was basically considered the โgreat valueโ wine. The dollar menu wine. The wine that everyone could afford, but also the wine that everyone had lol.
Iโm rambling at this point, but curious if anyone has any comments. Iโm very new to wine in general. Just got done going down the Stout rabbit hole.

Iโm not an expert. So I canโt say for sure. I do know that the French vines had a terrible disease in the early 1900โs. A Texan farmer graphed their vines onto Texas grape roots and stalks and saved the French wines.
