There's a minor problem with this.

YOU will still be dead. A copy of your brain patterns will exist, but you still died. You experience what we now call death just the same, no matter what.

Now, granted... I believe that we are only a broken up stream of consious moments. Every time you wake up in the morning, your brain reboots, reloading patterned memories into your short-term cache.

The copy loads your memory patterns and thinks it is "you".

Just like Star Trek transporters. Every time it is used, the subject is killed, and a copy is built in another location. The copy retains the memory, and doesn't know the difference. But rest assured, the dude was ripped apart and killed on that pad.
