In my turf stats I'm paying the cops for every piece of turf! But yet other people arnt ... Am I doing something wrong or is it a setting I've got wrong ....pls help :-)

Benney is exactly right, alot of times it's random. I'm lucky I caught it early but if your one of these random targets the only way to reverse it is reset your account. I was in this situation up to level 16 when I caught it and reset my account. Great ever seince!!! I think it's there to keep gameplay varied like making sure everyone isn't as good as the other, but it is sorta unfair.

Huh? Just go to the missions screen and click the protection link at the top and pay them off once a week. The only time you dont need to pay cops is if you are capo

if you're capo, one of the benefits is police protection.
