Alright, I've set up a few servers before but I can't seem to get this one to work. Everytime I try to join it I get the "End of Stream" error and I disconnect. Everyone else can join except me.I'm am hosting the server on my desktop and playing on the laptop. Both computers are on the same network, so I am using the internal ip of the desktop to connect to it- not the public ip. Is there something I am doing wrong or is it just an annoying bug in the game?

Sounds like a bug try refreshing it

That error was a pain in my arse. When I hosted mine I would join on the same computer using the loop back IP and the LAN IP and I would occasionally get the error. A friend of mine also hosts a server we migrated to and we occasionally get that error with his too. We just try again and a few attempts later we get in and stay in. I think it's a problem with the minecraft client, not the server.

Just keep trying. If it happens, close it down and try to connect again. Also try connecting to local host in the direct connect box

Ended up trashing the software I got from minecraft and got a bulk it server. Works perfectly fine now.

Yeah bukkit is the way to go make sure to get mcmmo and essentials

I'm still waiting for mods on the pocket edition and/or better updates 😓 still no freakin chests.....
