If you just heard about this, you should watch more ancient aliens. Almost 1000 individual stones, about 30 feet high, and 80 tons each, moved over 200 miles. The lore says they were levitated into place by Merlin.

I understand but they weren't headstones. Some just were totally exposed while others were not. None of the statues are heads only.
