Good Threads

In your opinion, what makes a good or successful thread/post? What do you look for in a thread? Is it a title? The player who posted it? Discuss, debate (although we've had way too much of that recently).

It's the player who posts it. That's all anyone cares about.

Fun. Intrigue. Gossip.

I go for anything funny.

This. And a good thread creator uses these two traits in most of their threads. They don't make a thread every day. Their threads are thought out and are interesting. Quality threads over a quantity of them.Uniqueness

something that has a bit of thought in it, or something that gets all the forum involved, like UA's threads, i like them threads

UA's threads are great! I also like pretty much anything made by a vet.

All of the above & usually a thread will go further if it was created by someone who has made a name for themselves. That's just the way it is.

Hey, thanks above people about my threads. I try and make them a community based topic that generalizes the entire community so it can allow them in; of course I don't consciously think that but the meaning can imply that 'community wide based topic'. My advice is try and make them spread out over time. I have posted pretty recently and unfortunately not everyone gets involved in it so it dies but posting threads that are:
1) Community-wide based; minimum of majority-of-community-wide-based
2) Creative and unique by being different enough from other recent threads. After a thousand pages of about fifteen or so gd threads per page, repeats will happen. Recent being around a month or two.
3) Don't be sad if it doesn't get replies fast. Only threads that are negative like JX's gets attention fast. Exceptions are Angel of blades thread but it came from a situation, time and different vibed community over two years ago. Back when everything was simpler and no where near as many threads and people. -
That is what I can think of for a foundation of a good thread that most of the community that comments will enough.
-
yeah the JX thread lit up quicker than a lit match in a fireworks box
