I have a problem with my eyes, I don't see my ass coming to work today. What are some excuses you've used?

Ha ha nice. I use the typical "I'm sick" excuse along with coughs or sniffs when I call in. Normally it's cause I'm majorly late

Diarrhea is always a good excuse. People tend to not ask questions about your excrement.

Tell your boss you crapped yourself on the bus/train on the way to work. Be very graphic. No one will believe you'd make up a story that embarrassing

Ours is automated. Just call an 800 number and give company ID # then pick a reason 1. self sick 2. family sick 3. Self FMLA 4. Family FMLA then give your estimated date that you will return to work. Hang up

I called in and said I was dead and wouldn't be able to make it in once. Can only use that excuse so many times with the same boss though.

Hmm well I work at a fusion cooler factory/plant it's not operational yet but I'm the person that gets entrepanuers to invest so i cant be late ,sick or have an emergency....ever.

That's amazing, I hate calling my boss on his cell at 6 in the morning....
