As some of you know, I work security at a casino here. I also work as a convenience store clerk. Between both jobs, I barely make enough to make ends meet. I used to work as a cnc machinist and got laid off when the economy tanked in 2008. Last week, on a whim, I applied at a machine shop that pays roughly $6 more per hour than I currently make. They called today to schedule an interview. Needless to say, I'm both excited and nervous. This will definitely alleviate the stress of working two jobs and hoping I have enough money to pay my bills. Downside is I've been out of the industry for nearly 4 years. Please send positive thoughts my way. Thanks.

Remember the key points of an interview.
1. Walk in and play your theme music

2. Stand for the whole interview and call them "all mighty leader"

3. Laugh even tho they haven't told a joke

And most of all..
If they say you've got the job, refuse in hope they'll offer you a better position.

4 1/2 hours til my interview and I'm so nervous I'm shaking. I threw up about ten minutes ago. I usually get nervous before interviews, but I don't think I've ever been this bad off. I may be slightly afraid of screwing it up.

Just finished the interview, actually. Went really well. They took me on a tour of the facility, and I must say, most jobs look gravy. Need to email the HR supervisor two references and as she said " you'll hear from me soon."

Or more time to work on the el camino. And more money than both jobs combined!
