Free time in college?
Forums › General Discussion › Free time in college?-
Those of you who went to college, did you have any free time? Was it a lot, or only enough to brush your teeth? I'm having a discussion with my parents about free time and hobbies, so I was curious. Thanks guys (and gals)!

😂 college was almost 100% free time. I managed to work 50 hours a week, get decent grades and still found time to do whatever I wanted. Those of you who went to college, did you have any free time? Depended on the year and class load. Fresan year I was over eager to make up for a bad Sr year as HS. I had 21 units and made a 3.5 with zero free time. One of my Jr semesters I had 15 units, half of which were cake like Film History. I spent a lot of time at the beach.

I remember my first semester in college i was such a goody goody and always studying and doing hw and practicing my drums(went to music school) but then i realized that it was totally possible to breeze through college with a continual beer buzz and only go to class half the time haha....
College was great. Depending on your major you will have plenty of free time. Dont miss out on that free time bc once you have your bachelors degree and u are in the real world, u definitely wont have much free time

the problem in college is time management. u will have tons of free time and there will be lots of jobs, clubs, parties, and events that will take up a lot of ur free time. just remember why u went to college and dont get too distracted from ur education 👍

It depends on how many classes you take, and when you take them.

I went to a specialized school with an accelerated program. I got a one year associates degree, going to class 6 days a week, 12 hours per day. Not much free time for me

5 classes with a 15 credit hour (would be 18 but chemistry lab doesn't count as a credit). And they're all done before 2pm except for Thursday I have one night class from 6:30 to 9. I basically have Thursday and Friday off after 11:00 each day.It depends on how many classes you take, and when you take them.

Totally agree with this statement, I have to work full time and take at least 15 credit hours or I waste way too much time and party way too muchthe problem in college is time management. u will have tons of free time and there will be lots of jobs, clubs, parties, and events that will take up a lot of ur free time. just remember why u went to college and dont get too distracted from ur education 👍

Good money in that area, you must be good at math. -

I'm decent. If I had the time during high school to put more work into my AP Calc BC class, I'd be doing better, but I did get a 33 on the math portion of the ACT, twice.❌❌ZebulonPike❌❌ wrote:

I dunno. I worked pretty hard at school - enough to graduate on the deans list and all that jazz. I still worked a job and had lots of time. It just depends on you (how smart u are I guess) and your program (some require a lot more work than others).
I found year 1 the biggest adjustment. Year 2 I worked the hardest. By year 3 and 4 i was in auto pilot and found it very easy.
