Green Eggs and Ham

There is a moral to this story:
"Try new things."
BUT, there is also a darker, more sinister theme residing within this classic children's tale.
Throughout the story, Sam I Am is trying to get....that one guy with no name to try green eggs and ham. Guy with no name says he won't try it over and over again (very lyrically, I might add) until Sam finally convinces him to try some.
So what is the TRUE story behind Green Eggs and Ham??? Well I'll tell you.
It's about someone being peer pressured by some random guy he just met into eating some rather questionable-looking entrées.
Coulda been rancid. Coulda been poisoned. But do we know the answer? No. Because there's no sequel.
But The Cat in the Hat had a sequel. So, since Green Eggs and Ham didn't, it means the story couldn't have ended well.
And that's all I have to say about that.

Are the eggs actually green?

I will not eat green eggs and ham. I will not eat them Sam I Am.

The Grinch didn't have a direct sequel either. Also Green Eggs and ham did end well. The guy took a bite. Liked it after all. Maybe more could happen. But the story not having a follow up, does not prove it didn't go good for the guy.
also the story only used these words entirely...a, am, and, anywhere, are, be, boat, box, car, could, dark, do, eat, eggs, fox, goat, good, green, ham, here, house, I, if, in, let, like, may, me, mouse, not, on, or, rain, Sam, say, see, so, thank, that, the, them, there, they, train, tree, try, will, with, would, you.

👆 That's it‽
And The Grinch DOES have a sequel! My brother has the book!!!
I'm not saying it didn't end well, we just don't know what happened afterward because there's no sequel. So he could've died from food poisoning for all we know!
And yes, he took the bite, but he was giving into peer pressure from a stranger!
If an unusually peppy random guy came up to you and said, "would you like to try bath salts?" would you try it??? -

If an unusually peppy random guy came up to you and said, "would you like to try bath salts?" would you try it???Anyways yeah that's it. You directly said "But The Cat in the Hat had a sequel. So, since Green Eggs and Ham didn't, it means the story couldn't have ended well.". Which doesn't make sense, and is indeed your words. But this new argument is just as flawed. How does hardcore, homemade meth variants relate to green eggs and ham? Answering the bath salts question doesnt provide proof of anything.

Either way I'm okay with wasting more time debating about this if you are. I'm not intending to be insulting at all by the way. I'm just bored and just saw this thread because of the word "Green" in the title.

Oh well. Back to reading books and refreshing turfwars frequently then. bye

I think señorita is trying to say, that a children's book has once again, spat in the faces of the parents.
As a child, majority of us were taught not to speak to strangers, not to give in to peer pressure and certainly not to eat food from a stranger, yet in this book he eats from a stranger.

Every friend starts out a stranger. Just saying.. The world is farrrr too fearful of things blown out of proportion. Taking food from a stranger is not the moral here. Living life to the fullest by trying what the world offers occasionally is. Besides, Sam I am was a waiter slash chef, and introduced himself. Not a total rando.I think señorita is trying to say, that a children's book has once again, spat in the faces of the parents.

Yes, but it's a children's book, children don't know half the morals of the world. I'm sure most children dont sit back and say "hey, imma live my life to the fullest everyday" haha.
Either way, speaking and eating from strangers has been portrayed in a good way, yet in the real world it's not all dandy.

I did when I was a kid. Maybe I'm weird. I was in and out of the hospital a lot when I was young. I had a high chance of dying. But I didn't. Regardless I thought big about life as a kid.Yes, but it's a children's book, children don't know half the morals of the world. I was always too scared to talk to strangers incase they stole me.
I was also in and out of hospital for nearly 3 years and my biggest ambition in life was to climb the biggest tree.
I'm still waiting for señoritas reply.

Green eggs and ham = Lucky breakfast

I was just trying to point out something I don't think many notice. It's all in fun 😊
But I will cheerfully debate you on the subject—later though, it's my bro's birthday, and he's having a birthday party with all his little friends....
I am totally looking forward to a house full of 8-year olds... 😒
