Why inactives should be left alone
Forums › General Discussion › Why inactives should be left alone-
I know that this isn't the first thread about inactive turfs, but I recently had to deal with inactives in my hometown being lost. Thus, this is my reference page for any noobs, or douches, that need to hear it.
We are all trying to make more with less in both this game and in life. Capping inactives for income is not the solution. Why protect inactive turfs?
They increase overall property value. At least 12 different players must have turf within 1 square mile (or smaller) to get the max level of revenue.* Also the 84 turfs can be taxed with no loot, and since the owners are inactive, you will have hassle free income.
How do you determine if they are inactive?
Any 84 turf is considered inactive.** any turf owned by a mob of over 500 and influence of less than 500 is also likely inactive. The easiest way if to message them, or try to see how long ago they sent their last message.
*hearsay
** the exception to this is taxmefreely -
Like noobs could capture tax me freely 😜

I personally think inactives are fair play at airports. But they should be capped and destroyed not kept.To decrese congestion in those areas.
-
😂😂😂 excuse me sir are you inactive? Person immediately tears down nearest turf and runs away lol
-
I think capping inactives is usually ok as long as you leave at least one turf of there's in the area. So it doesnt hurt income
-
Also, Inactives don't show up in search

None is best. Cap none then strategically place three turfs to tax one 84 Inf turf. I repeat cap none please. Especially if they are in convienant turf flower arrangement.ㄎңձժø൰ (YW)🔫🔴🌆 wrote:

I only take ones that will not affect others income. That means leaving some in the area, and not taking taxing materialNasty_Legacy wrote:

Yes I agree with the capping none. I just meant that in order to reach the max income each of the required 12 players must have at least 3 turfs. If someone were to just leave one behind then they would still ruin the income and make me angry 😡😜

Why it's a bad idea to cap inactive players: you need 10 different players in an area (defined as the diameter of 3 86 inf turfs) to make the max income for a turf (up to $53.6k per turf without protection or loot upgrades). So you want lots of different people all over. Inactive people will not plant more turf; by capping their turf you hurt everyone's income. Work on planting fewer turf strategically so they earn the most money, rather than having a lot of turf that doesn't earn well. This will also help keep you under your limit so that you aren't stuck in 1 area. (Plus, inactive people don't complain if you collect protection $ from them!) Always check if a player is inactive before capping.Haha this was bugging me, I knew I saw it somewhere!!! 😁 hope that helps

Dnt cap inactives
-
Yes. Please do not cap me.

Thanks everyone for posting the info.
One thing I wanted to add if you are capping inactives, and justify it by leaving one or two behind, it's nearly just as bad as taking them all. Sure, things won't be affected immediately, but You won't be the last one to cap in that area, and if there is only one of those inactive's turf left....

Good thread! 👍
When I started with TW I was capping inactives, not realizing it was something bad. So hopefully the noo... uhm... new players will read this and don't make the same mistake.

Your from MN, which is unfortunate cuz our income is bad enough without you capping inactives. So i know now if I see you anywhere near any of my areas I am gonna hop to you and drive you out. Not to be a dick but your thought process is flawed in my opinion and damaging. Are you under limit? Why not just build the turf?I think capping inactives is usually ok as long as you leave at least one turf of there's in the area. So it doesnt hurt income

Your are spreading out, capping many form
Players under 500 mob, capping someone who labeled themselves inactive. You are taking everything you can within your reach. I want people to look at your turf list, to look at the cities and see what you are doing. Everything around you is yours just about. This was the start of it. -
If you noobs want to go around protecting the inactives that's great; it's good for all of us. But beware of accusing players of capping inactive turfs. If you look at my turf list you will see inactive turfs in my list. I mostly capped them from others who capped from the inactive players. Also, some of my turfs were capped legitimately from active players who then went inactive later.
The best defense for these inactive players is a good offense of education for the droves of noobs that arrive daily.
